Five College Consortium

The CLPP Student Group(link is external) (Facebook(link is external)) consists of activists from the Five Colleges and broader community who want to develop their skills to organize for reproductive and social justice. During the Fall semester, the CLPP student group members facilitate Reproductive Justice trainings for the community, and the group meets regularly to dialogue and discuss current issues and organize local CLPP events. During the Spring semester, the student organizing group works as the driving force behind the annual activist conference, From Abortion Rights to Social Justice: Building the Movement for Reproductive Freedom. The group meets weekly and maintains a Google Group.

Reproductive Justice Week(link is external) is a week of programs focusing on reproductive justice, abortion access, contraception, safe birth access, as well as empowering and supporting students. This program was created due to numerous student requests for programs and support on this topic. The program aims to increase knowledge about the politics of abortion access, as well as to provide students with the resources they need to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. Our goal is to critically engage with reproductive justice intersectionally and with particular attention to how structural oppression informs lived experiences. This program is a collaboration between the WGC and the Reproductive Justice Alliance, along with many campus and community partners.
