This seminar will examine the complex intersection of race, gender, sexuality, mental health, and class to understand the phenomenon of police shootings and high rates of incarceration in the United States.
Open to first-year STPEC students. STPEC First Year Seminar. Description: This seminar will examine the complex intersection of race, gender, sexuality, mental health, and class to understand the phenomenon of police shootings and high rates of incarceration in the United States. A final paper will allow students to pursue a related topic of their choice.
