Student Coordinating Board
The Student Coordinating Board is a collaboration of student leaders from each Five College campus. The Board serves as an enabling body to initiate, support, and promote interaction and cooperation among the institutions and their students. The Board can make recommendations to the presidents and chancellor of the campuses with proposals for improved cooperation.
The SCB is committed to
- Encouraging students to make full use of the opportunities and resources of all campuses
- Improving communication about issues each campus faces and the means to address them
- Sponsoring events to encourage interaction and meet student needs and concerns
- Assisting in the advertisement of events and activities at the other campuses
Student Funding
The Student Coordinating Board often has funding available to offer support to events bringing together students from all five campuses. For more information and a funding application, contact Kevin Kennedy. Funding for Student Activities The Five College Student Coordinating Board (FCSCB) Fund provides financial assistance for events in the Five College area that are open to all Five College students. Its purpose is to support Five College events and collaborations. Special consideration will be given to events that foster greater collaboration among the five campuses. The FCSCB has a modest annual budget, and so most of its grants are for less than $1,000.
