The class will visit bogs, floodplain forests, glacial outwash sandplains, old growth forests, and agricultural sites around western Massachusetts. Students will learn to use descriptive and experimental research approaches to document the processes that drive ecological patterns in plant communities. BIO 364 must be taken concurrently. |
